Our purpose

Bridging the economic gap through practical projects

Badimo Ke Bao partners with stakeholders to advance economic development in Africa. We believe that inclusive growth, community ownership, skills, enterprise and dignified work are essential to economic emancipation.

Our objective is to bridge the economic gap through practical projects that create measurable opportunity for communities that have historically been underserved — starting with revenue-generating, implementation-ready work, then scaling into long-term housing, retail, learning and health infrastructure.

The portfolio

Seven initiatives, delivered in sequence

Each initiative is developed through its own feasibility study, business plan, implementation budget, governance structure and funding agreement before capital is committed.

*Amounts are figures communicated by the project sponsor. Currency, scope, land, technical specifications, operating costs and final capital requirements remain subject to feasibility, independent costing and funder due diligence.

Development principles

How we decide what to build, and with whom

01

Economic inclusion

Communities should participate in ownership, jobs, procurement and enterprise opportunities.

02

Partnership delivery

Major projects are delivered with credible technical, funding, public-sector, civil-society and community partners.

03

Local value creation

Prioritise local labour, local suppliers, skills transfer and sustainable operating models.

04

Transparency and accountability

Clear governance, independent financial controls, procurement integrity and measurable reporting.

05

Phased investment

Capital is released against verified feasibility, approvals, milestones and impact outcomes.

Phased implementation

Credibility first, then scale

  1. Phase 1

    Readiness

    0–6 months

Confirm company governance; appoint advisers; validate contracts; conduct feasibility studies; identify pilot sites; secure approvals; establish financial controls and project companies.

  2. Phase 2

    Early delivery

    6–18 months

Mobilise mining logistics subject to verified contracts; launch food-security pilots; establish the first community business hub and selected school learning-centre pilots.

  3. Phase 3

    Scale and construction

    18–60 months

Expand proven programmes; commence approved housing and retail developments; advance specialist-health facility planning and construction subject to clinical, financial and regulatory approval.

  4. Phase 4

    Long-term stewardship

    5–20 years

Operate and maintain assets, report impact, strengthen local enterprise participation and reinvest outcomes into sustainable community development.

Turning economic-emancipation principles into accountable, investable action.
